Although Lower Manhattan is known as a financial
area; Midtown Manhattan is the location of different banks as Bank of America. Whereas
Lower Manhattan has a working environment; Midtown Manhattan has a tourist
environment. However, both places have a similar lifestyle and sights.
Furthermore, Midtown has more historical landmarks
and tourist attractions than Lower Manhattan. Midtown Manhattan has the tallest
skyscrapers and its streets are wider than Lower Manhattan.
St. Patrick´s Church is taller than Mexico´s
Cathedral. Whereas Mexico´s Cathedral has a Baroque architecture, St. Patrick´s
Church has a gothic architecture. Furniture and symbols are placed in a similar
way in both Churches. However, both churches are historic landmarks of each
City.
Hi Mera...
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about Lower and Midtown Manhattan. Each of them has different environment and lifestyle causes by its different activities, but about the skyscrapers I think you forgot the One World Trade Center that is located in Lower Manhattan.
Also, about Cathedrals, both are important religious places for citizens but its architecture reflects the difference between two cultures too.
