The Sphere
The sphere is a largue metalic sculpture by German sculptor Fritz Koening. That once was in the area between the World Trade Center towers in Manhattan.
When I saw it I thought that it is amazing sculptore, but not for the form size or price. I think that it is fabulous for the mean after the 11/9. It represent the peaceful in U.S.A. And the force to the people.
In my city We don't have any symbols, but in Isla Mujeres there is one the Christ of the bay and it is in honor to men who die inside the sea.
I totally agree with my classmate Carlos, the Sphere is a symbol of peace in USA after the 9/11 attacks, a symbolise that the union of people, love and the brotherhood of a nation can not be destroyed by any power.
ReplyDeleteI would like to visit the Christ in Isla Mujeres and I believe that people is remembered by their families when they transmitted a lesson to people that still live in the Earth.
